Waitlists & Late Cancellation Fees

With more people coming to in-studio classes, certain class times are selling out fast! Are we at pre pandemic attendance, no. But we are full for what feels safe and that is amazing.

We have many students looking to come to class, and some signing up in advance but do not show up. To accommodate the many, we have activated a waitlist feature in Union. If class is full, members and guests will be automatically added to the waitlist and notified via email. As spaces open up, those on the waitlist are notified first come, first served.

With that, we are also in an uncomfortable position. We need to add a late cancellation fee for classes. We know this may be a "no brainer" for many of you and that late cancelation fees are industry standard, but punitive fees have always felt icky to us. Yet, we are at an impasse where casual conversations with folx about attendance have not given us structure.

Starting this Sunday, November 14, students who no-show to class they have pre registered for will incur a $5 late cancelation fee. This will be automatically debited from the payment method on file. To avoid this charge, you must cancel your reservation within 2 hours in the Union App. We are unable accept your cancellation via call, text, or email.

As we adapt to changing times, we hope things like late cancellation fees are only temporary. We are really excited about the pipe line of events. These include adding two new Virtual Only Membership options for those who are not local or coming to the studio. We are also adding new classes to the schedule, including The 45 and Yin. Keep an eye out.
