200 HOUR TEACHER TRAINING FAQS

What if I have to miss a weekend because I have something important (wedding, family trip, 5K charity race, etc.)
Attendance at each and every session is mandatory to participate and graduate from Three Queens Teacher Training. We may in certain circumstances be able to schedule make-up sessions for any planned absences or missed sessions. These sessions are an additional expense incurred at an hourly rate. Some workshops may be offered as make-up hours at the dicretion of Three Queens Yoga.

What books make up your required reading list?

  • Yoga Anatomy, by Leslie Kaminoff
  • Hatha Yoga Illustrated, by Martin Kirk
  • Hatha Yoga in the Anusara Style, by Doug Keller
  • Light on Yoga, by BKS Iyengar 
  • The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Swami Satchidanada
  • Meditation for the Love of It, by Sally Kempton

Homework: 
There will be weekly asana and essay assignments and readings from your handouts and textbooks. These will be handed in for grading. You will also be sending summaries of your practice to one of the Directors.

 

 

 

The Advianced Training FAQs

What if I have to miss a day?
You will not be eligible for certification if you miss any of our time together. Attendance is mandatory for the Advance Training. Select make up may be available for an addition hourly rate dependent on hours missed. 

Can weekends be taken inviually?
Yes, select weekends are open to the public. Please refer to the Advanced Training page for details and pricing. 

Do you offer discounts?:
Yes, we have early-bird discounts available for those who enroll in advance of the program.

Are you a Yoga Alliance Registered School at the 500 Hour Level?
Yes, we are registered at both the 200 and 300 hour level.

Classes:
Unlimited asana practice is included with the cost of membership, and dedicated weekly practice at the studio is strongly encouraged.
