New To Yoga

Yoga is like music: the rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind and the harmony of the soul to create the symphony of life.
— BKS Iyengar

Being new to the practice of yoga truly is like hearing a song for the first time.  You like the sound of it but do not know all the words but there is that hook that just catches you.  Allowing yourself to be open to the dance is the first step into the practice.

Here are a few things to keep in mind while beginning a practice:

Breath, Body, Mind and Curiosity: These are the key essentials when beginning a practice. Being able to allow yourself to be with your breath, give your mind a break, take your body on a new journey and the curiosity to give the practice a chance.

If you are ready to step into your practice come and join my 8 week beginner series starting this Sunday, April 8th from 10:15-11:30. Know that you already have everything you need to begin the practice. You can drop in anytime and the series cycles every 8 weeks so always be all the look out to begin.

Over the eight weeks we will explore all the aspects of the practice of yoga: breath, movement and meditation. The beginner series is  designed to give you all the tools necessary to develop a lifelong healthy yoga practice. Each class builds upon the next, exploring all categories of poses, as well as breathing and restorative. Whether you are new to yoga or just want to expand your understanding of yoga fundamentals, this course will provide you with what it takes to feel better in body, mind and heart.
