You’ve probably seen #guthealth splashed around Instagram alongside photos of bowls of sauerkraut and kimchi—but what does it mean to actually keep your gut healthy, you ask? And, um, why does it actually matter? Well, get ready to have all your questions answered at the next installment of our Around the Table series, going down at Queen Village’s Shot Tower Coffee on Tuesday, August 21st at 6:30 p.m. And, of course, we’ll be talking over a table of gut-enhancing eats prepared by Reap Wellness.
For those unfamiliar with the health-focused dinner-and-conversation series: For Around the Table, Mariel Freeman of Three Queens Yoga, nutritionist Cristina Hoyt Alvarez of Nourish and health coach Adjua Fisher of Reap Wellness have teamed up to create a space where we can continually come together for BS-free, candid and intimate conversations surrounding all things wellness and nutrition—all over bangin’ healthy eats and BYO bubbly.
Over the course of the two-hour shindig—including a dinner of build-your-own nourishing plant-based bowls, complete with a slew of dishes designed to feed your gut at your fingertips.
You will learn why improving gut health is the first step in both Cristina and Adjua’s practices when it comes to helping clients to feel better in their bodies, how focusing on your gut can transform everything from your skin to your mood to your immunity, which foods are the bomb dot com when it comes to feeding your gut and which foods can lead to unwanted imbalances in your gut (no, thanks), WTF probiotics are, what buzzword terms like “leaky gut” really mean, and more. Have personal questions?
Bring ‘em! Cristina and Adjua will happily answer them so that you walk away with an arsenal of gut-boosting nutrition information to apply after you leave the table. Plus, you’ll receive recipes from dinner to whip up your own gut-friendly dishes at home.
The cost of the event is $60 which gets you a BYOB plant-based and gluten-free dinner and two hours of intimate access to a nutritionist and health coach, along with tailored nutrition advice. The event is limited to 10 participants, so make sure to can grab your ticket here if you’re interested!
